Candle Wax Before Melting

About our product

Hand-poured with love (and a few cuppa breaks!)

01

Our wax

We use 100% soy wax to make our candles. Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of the soybean. This means, unlike paraffin wax, it's non-toxic, petroleum free, and a renewable resource. Soy wax also has a lower melting point, which means your candle burns slower than paraffin wax and lasts longer.

03

Our jars

Each Jar Candle Co. candle is created in recyclable glass jars, which once finished with can be placed into your local glass recycling bins at home or cleaned out and reused to see fit. We think they make for great jewellery holders, or why not fill them with a small gift to surprise your loved one!

02

Our wicks

Our wicks are made with pure cotton and a twisted thread of brown paper. Our wicks are bleach free and not treated with any substance. To make the most of your candle and to get the best performance from your cotton wick, remember to give it a trim before each burn. Scroll down to 'Candle Care' for more top tips on how to look after your new Jar Candle Co. product.

04

Our scents

The scents we use for our candles are all vegan friendly and are not animal tested. You can trust your Jar Candle Co. product is 100% cruelty free.

05

Our hands

At Jar Candle Co. all of our candles are 100% handmade. Some candles may have minor imperfections and colours may vary slightly. Please be aware that 'frosting' may occur- this is a natural characteristic of soy wax and does not affect the candle's performance in any way. Thank you for supporting our small business!

Candle Care

Looking after your candle is so important, not only for the safety of yourself and others, but also to maximise your candle's lifespan.

See our top tips below for how best to look after your new Jar Candle Co. product:

Allow enough time for the wax to melt completely to the edges of the glass jar to help prevent 'tunnelling'. We recommend burning for 2 hours on first use.

Avoid burning for more than four hours at a time.

Trim wick to 1/4 of an inch before each use.

Keep candles out of reach from children and pets.

Never leave a candle burning attended. Keep candles on a stable surface and away from flammable objects, both when lighting and burning.
